The installation was first exhibited at the Photographers Gallery and then took place on the ground floor of a Georgian home on Spitalfields conservation area which offered the ideal condition for presenting the atmosphere of the re-created photograph.
Every day over a five weeks period, hundreds of people interacted within the installation and fully enjoyed the opportunity to physically step into a black and white photograph.
Forgotten tale’s also engaged an Education Programme which included free workshops and related lectures to inform the importance of photography as trace of our history.
